Pro Bono Fantasy’s Top 10 RB Handcuff’s (2007)

With the NFL 2007-08 campaign set to kickoff next weekend, most fantasy drafts are winding down. when it comes to successful keys to a quality draft some things seem painfully obvious apparently it’s not.

I have bear witness to some really out of this world picks or have heard firsthand accounts of some of the strangest fantasy football drafting to date.

Vince Young 3rd overall (WHAT!?). He’s a 3rd rounder at best!!
Oaklands Team Defense when Wideouts Donte’ Stallworth and Santonio Holmes were still available.
Four Kickers in the 1st 7 rounds (okay that was last year, but still was worth a mention).
And last but not least. The shrinking allure of the Stud RB handcuff.

Folks, believe me handcuff the stud. When your most likely 1st or 2nd pick (sometimes both) goes down you don’t want to be left with the options of Lorenzo Booker (Mia) or De De Dorsey (Ind) on the waiver wire. On it seems right to go with your studs natural replacement. LaDanian go down, in goes Mr. Turner. With that being said here are Probono’s Top Ten RB handcuffs for 2007 that do not include the obvious handcuffing of LT.

1. Clinton Portis/Ladell Betts (WAS)
2. Fred Taylor/Maurice Jones-Drew (JAC)
3. Deuce McAllister/Reggie Bush (NO)
4. Warrick Dunn/Jerious Norwood (ATL)

6. Thomas Jones/Leon Washington (NYJ)
7. Travis Henry/Mike Bell (DEN)
8. Chester Taylor/Adrian Peterson (MIN)
